Texas Braces for Long-Awaited Rain and Snow Storm

Texas is finally expected to receive much-needed rain and possibly snow this week. An upper-level low pressure system will bring several days of showers and thunderstorms, starting in the Texas Panhandle and West Texas and slowly spreading eastward. While severe thunderstorms are not expected, there is a chance for a change-over to snow in the Panhandle and West Texas, with potential accumulations. The rain will bring beneficial totals across the western half of Texas, with one to three inches possible, while lighter rain is expected in other regions. Temperatures will also cool down throughout the week.
