Texas Braces for Sweltering Triple-Digit Temps All Week.

Texas is facing a week-long heat wave with nearly every weather service office in the state issuing heat advisories or warnings. El Paso will face triple digit heat until the weekend, with Monday's high reaching 109 degrees. The Fort Worth/Dallas area is also under a heat advisory until Tuesday evening, with heat-index values between 105 and 110 degrees. The Houston/Southeast Texas area is expected to feel closer to 115 degrees, and around Austin and San Antonio, heat advisories and excessive heat warnings will continue through the week. The unforgiving weather has already led to the deaths of two people in West Texas.
