Tornado Strikes Maryland and DC Suburbs, Causing Injuries and Damage

Tornadoes and severe storms hit parts of Maryland, causing significant damage to structures and leaving at least one person seriously injured. In Gaithersburg, a tornado caused a home to collapse, trapping five people, one of whom was hospitalized with traumatic injuries. Another tornado was reported near Baltimore, causing downed trees and power lines. The severe weather threat has since moved northeast, and the National Weather Service will assess the damage.
