Tornado wreaks havoc in Georgia, trapping residents in homes.

Strong storms moving through north Georgia have spawned at least one confirmed tornado and caused significant damage in west Georgia. A tornado watch has been issued for several counties until 1 p.m. The storms are expected to last for most of the morning, and another complex of storms is on the way tonight. Numerous trees are down across roads, and large hail has been reported in some areas. Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for several counties, with wind gusts up to 60 mph. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for multiple counties.
