An "unsettled" weather pattern is bringing daily chances for rain and potentially strong storms to the Chicago area for the next several days. While storms are at a "marginal" risk of turning severe, there will also be dry periods. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for east-central Cook County with wind gusts of up to 70 mph and quarter-size hail possible. The weekly forecast shows scattered showers and storms on Tuesday, a greater chance of strong to severe storms on Wednesday, and daily rain and thunderstorm chances continuing through the week and into the weekend. Temperatures will drop as a cold front moves in.
