Weekend Weather Alert: Potential for Severe Storms and Heavy Rain in Minnesota

Rain and thunderstorms are expected in Minnesota this weekend, with a higher chance of severe storms in central and western parts of the state. Large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes are possible. The storms may form into a line with strong winds and some hail as they move towards the Twin Cities. Scattered rain and storms will continue Saturday night into Sunday morning, but there is a possibility of dry afternoons. Overall, 1 to 2 inches of rain is possible in southern and central Minnesota.
