Weekend Weather Alert: Severe Storms Expected in Texas and Arkansas

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a 3 out of 5 "Enhanced" risk for severe weather, including the potential for very large hail and destructive wind events, in parts of North Texas and the Big Country on Saturday. The dryline is expected to sit on the western edge of the Edwards Plateau and north into the Big Country by late Saturday afternoon, leading to isolated thunderstorms capable of destructive hail and gusts up to 70mph. The primary threat could turn into a damaging wind event for North-Central Texas. The Brazos Valley is expected to remain north of the severe weather threat. Friday night's storms caused damage and power outages in parts of Central Texas.
