Weekend Weather: Sunny Saturday, Rainy Sunday-Monday

Gorgeous summer weather is expected across much of Minnesota on Saturday, with a chance of scattered showers in far northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. However, rain chances increase on Sunday as a low pressure system brings periods of rain and a few embedded thunderstorms to many areas of Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin. The forecast models show varying rain patterns, with some indicating rain as early as Sunday morning in the Twin Cities metro area. After the rain event, the next chance of meaningful rain in the Twin Cities appears to be on Wednesday night. Temperature-wise, highs will be in the 80s on Saturday, dropping to mainly 60s and 70s on Sunday and Monday.
