Weekend Weather Update: Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms Expected.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit Minnesota and western Wisconsin today and tonight, with a slight risk of severe weather in southern Minnesota and a marginal risk in a broad section of Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin. Most of Minnesota is currently experiencing abnormally dry or actual drought conditions, so the rain is much needed. Temperatures will be in the 80s for most of central and southern Minnesota, with some parts of western Wisconsin reaching 90 degrees.
