Winter Storm Alert: Snow Expected in Midwest Region

Snow fell overnight and is expected to continue throughout Sunday and Monday in northeastern Minnesota and much of Wisconsin. Snow totals are highest where there was an earlier changeover to snow Saturday night. Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are in effect, with travel expected to be difficult and patchy blowing snow reducing visibility. Wind gusts up to 45 mph are possible in the Twin Cities metro area and much of the southern half of Minnesota Sunday afternoon and evening.
