Winter Storm Sweeps Across Southern US, Bringing Snow, Rain, and Floods

A storm is moving into New Mexico, bringing scattered rain showers, fog, and drizzle across the plains, as well as light snow in the northern mountains. The Metro may see light sprinkles in the morning, with a better chance for isolated showers in the afternoon and evening. Widespread rain and snow will develop in the east plains and northern parts of the state throughout the day, with a possibility of wintry mix and freezing rain in the central highlands to Union County. Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are in effect, and travel will become difficult along I-25 between Las Vegas and Raton Pass. The snow and rain showers will continue through Thursday, ending from west to east by the late evening.
