"Winter Storm Update: Travel Advisory Expanded to Eastern Iowa, Iowa DOT Urges Drivers to Stay Home"
TL;DR
The Iowa DOT has expanded the areas where travel is not advised to encompass the majority of eastern Iowa due to heavy snow, strong winds, and reduced visibility, causing road conditions to deteriorate quickly. The roadways are completely covered, and the Iowa State Patrol has already responded to a multi-vehicle crash on I-80 near Williamsburg. Drivers are urged to stay off the roads if possible to ensure safety.
