Winter Weather Whiplash: Blizzard Warnings Followed by Warm-Up in Northern US

Blizzard and winter storm warnings are in effect for northern Minnesota, with ice, snow, and high winds causing power outages and travel difficulties. The Twin Cities and southern Minnesota will mostly see rain, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. A severe weather risk is up for southeast Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. However, much warmer temperatures near or above 70 degrees are expected for the Twin Cities and surrounding areas next week.
