Florida man attacked by alligator after opening door.

A man in Florida was bitten by a 9ft alligator after he opened his front door to investigate a knock. The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. The alligator was later found and euthanised by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Florida has a large population of alligators, and attacks are rare but do happen as human population expands into the state's swamps and waterlands.
