Mysterious Stellar Object Challenges Neutron Star Physics and Beams Radio Waves

Astronomers have discovered a new type of stellar object called GPM J1839−10, located 15,000 light-years from Earth, that emits radio waves every 22 minutes for a duration of five minutes. This object challenges the current understanding of neutron stars and magnetars, as it spins too slowly to produce radio waves according to existing theories.
