Ancient 'Angry Eyebrow' Sea Lizards Unearthed in North Dakota

Scientists have discovered a new species of giant sea lizard, named Jormungandr walhallaensis, that lived in North Dakota over 80 million years ago. The reptile, part of the mosasaur species, had flippers, an angry eyebrow-like bony ridge on its skull, and a stumpy shark-like tail. The fossil, including a nearly complete skull, jaws, and cervical spine, was found during an excavation in 2015. This discovery sheds light on the evolution and diversity of these ancient sea creatures.
