Juno probe captures stunning images of Io's red-hot glow.

NASA's Juno mission has captured stunning images of Jupiter's volcanic moon Io during its 51st close flyby of the gas giant. Io is the most volcanic world in the solar system, with hundreds of actively erupting volcanoes. The extreme volcanic activity is believed to arise due to the tremendous gravitational influence of Jupiter, causing tremendous tidal forces that squash and squeeze Io. Juno's instruments and sensors were intended to investigate Jupiter's atmosphere and interior, but during its 50 flybys of the gas giant, the NASA craft has been able to collect vital data about the Jovian moons and some incredible images.
