Japan's Moon lander, the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM), was switched off after a successful historic touchdown, but the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is hopeful that it can be saved when sunlight hits its solar panels. Despite the uncertainty about the craft's power generation, JAXA has received technical and image data from its descent and the lunar surface.
