SpaceX launched 56 Starlink satellites, bringing the total number of Starlinks in orbit to over 4,000, with 3,988 operational. This marks another milestone for the company, which is still waiting for FCC approval to deploy the remaining 22,488 next-gen satellites it hopes to launch. However, astronomers have raised concerns about the satellite swarm's impact on scientific research, prompting SpaceX to work on measures to reduce the brightness of Starlink satellites. This was also SpaceX's 30th launch of the year, putting the company on track to surpass last year's 61 missions.
