NASA's Artemis Program Progresses with Moon Rocket and Rover Construction.

NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) rocket is being assembled at a facility in New Orleans for the Artemis 2 mission, with all five of the core stage's major structures now put together. The engine section, which is the most complex and intricate part of the rocket stage, has been connected to the rocket stage, and engineers are preparing to attach its four RS-25 engines to complete the stage. Artemis 2 is scheduled for a November 2024 launch and will carry astronauts on board for a trip to the Moon and back without landing on the lunar surface.
