TL;DR

Google has rolled out a global English version of its Windows desktop app that mimics macOS’s Spotlight. Accessible via Alt+Space on Windows 10 or newer, the app lets you search the web, local files, and Google Drive with views like All, Images, and AI Mode, and it supports Google Lens or screen sharing; a macOS/Linux version isn’t confirmed, though a Gemini app for macOS is reportedly in testing.
