Pixel Watch 5 doubles down on AI health tools with offline Gemini and a price bump

Pixel Watch 5 is mostly a software upgrade: offline Gemini tasks, proactive AI reminders, real-time watchface info, and enhanced GPS post-processing. Health features include Breathing Emergency Detection (with emergency calls on low SpO2), Blood Pressure Trends, Insulin Resistance Trends, nightly sleep-breathing tracking, and AI-generated workouts, all feeding Google Health AI Coach. Hardware is largely unchanged, but Google hikes the price by $50 to $399; preorder is open and it ships August 20 (Steph Curry Edition September 3), with backward compatibility for previous Pixel Watches.
