"Ramcharger: The Hybrid Pickup That Combines EV Efficiency with Gas-Powered Backup"

Stellantis is introducing the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger, an electric-propelled truck with a large EV battery pack and a built-in gasoline engine that extends its range. The Ramcharger can go up to 690 miles on a full tank and charge, thanks to its dual electric motors and a 130kW onboard generator. It offers EV benefits such as fast acceleration and can drive up to 145 miles purely on electricity. While it lacks a spacious front trunk, it compensates with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that powers the generator when the battery is low. Stellantis also plans to release a fully electric Ram 1500 REV with a larger battery for a 500-mile range. The Ramcharger is rated for towing up to 14,000 pounds and has a payload capacity of 2,625 pounds.
