Eli Lilly's Zepbound Outperforms Wegovy in Weight-Loss Showdown

Eli Lilly's obesity drug Zepbound demonstrated superior weight loss results compared to Novo Nordisk's Wegovy in a head-to-head study, with Zepbound users losing up to 20.2% of their body weight versus Wegovy's 13.7%. This study, which did not include diabetic patients, is expected to boost Zepbound's market share. Despite current higher sales for Wegovy, analysts predict Zepbound will surpass it by 2027, with both drugs projected to generate over $42 billion in sales by 2029. Eli Lilly's stock rose 3.5% following the study results.
