Russia's Massive Drone Attack on Kyiv Raises Tensions in Ukraine

Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, was hit by the largest drone attack since the start of Russia's war, with at least one person killed and more than 40 drones shot down. The attack, which lasted over five hours, was carried out with Iranian-made Shahed drones. The timing of the attack, on the anniversary of Kyiv's founding, was likely not coincidental, according to Ukrainian officials. Meanwhile, Ukrainian air defenses have been adept at thwarting Russian air attacks, including drones and aircraft missiles, with the help of sophisticated Western-supplied systems.
