Pro-Palestine Protests Rock US College Campuses Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict
A video of a pro-Palestine student interrupting a mathematics lecture at MIT to protest Israeli airstrikes in Gaza has gone viral. The student accused MIT, Israel, and the US of perpetuating genocide and led chants of "free, free Palestine." However, a professor at MIT claimed that Jewish and Israeli students have been physically prevented from attending class by a hostile group of pro-Hamas and anti-Israel students. Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman criticized MIT for failing to discipline the protesters. The incident reflects the heightened tensions surrounding the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, with over 11,000 people reportedly killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza since October 7.
