"NIH Launches Groundbreaking Studies to Combat Long COVID Symptoms"

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has launched several studies as part of its RECOVER project to test potential treatments for long COVID, a condition that affects millions of people. The studies aim to address the lack of proven treatments and limited research on the condition. The first two trials will investigate the use of Pfizer's antiviral drug Paxlovid and cognitive training programs for treating long COVID symptoms such as brain fog. Two additional studies will focus on sleep problems and autonomic nervous system dysfunction. The trials are designed to be flexible, allowing for the addition of new therapies as needed.
