Russian involvement in Kakhovka dam destruction confirmed by intercepted call and drone footage.

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) claims to have intercepted a phone call proving that a Russian "sabotage group" blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric station and dam in southern Ukraine, causing mass flooding and environmental damage. The SBU posted a recording of the alleged conversation on its Telegram channel, in which one of the men claimed responsibility for the attack and said "thousands" of animals had been killed downstream. Russia, which has accused Ukraine of destroying the dam, has not commented on the recording. The SBU has opened a criminal investigation into war crimes and "ecocide".
