"NC Republicans Approve Redistricting Map to Flip Multiple House Seats"
TL;DR
North Carolina Republicans have passed new maps that could potentially flip multiple House seats in their favor, sparking criticism from state Democrats. The changes to the district lines could give Republicans an advantage in defending their House majority in 2024. The move has been labeled as one of the most gerrymandered maps in the country, with Democrats arguing that it solidifies an unfair advantage for the GOP. The new maps could potentially give Republicans the majority of the state's 14 House seats. Lawsuits are expected to be filed challenging the new maps in the coming weeks.
