"Rare Geomagnetic Storm to Illuminate Northeastern U.S. with Spectacular Northern Lights Display"

A strong geomagnetic storm heading towards Earth may result in the northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis, being visible in parts of northern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Experts recommend going out within two hours of midnight and getting away from city lights for the best chance of spotting the lights in the sky. The storm may also cause disruptions with electronics, radio frequencies, and GPS signals.
