OSIRIS-REx Successfully Returns Asteroid Samples to Earth

NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft, on a mission to retrieve a sample from the asteroid Bennu, was spotted by the European Space Agency's Optical Ground Station telescope as it made its return to Earth. The spacecraft's course was adjusted to ensure a successful arrival, and it is now approximately 2.9 million miles away. Bennu, a potentially hazardous asteroid, may hold clues about the formation of the universe through the samples collected by OSIRIS-REx.
