Boston braced for accumulating snow and near-record cold this weekend
TL;DR
Forecasts call for an unorganized snow event Saturday with 1–3 inches across most of southern New England (2–4 inches in parts of eastern MA; isolated bands up to 4–5 inches). Gusty northwest winds of 20–40 mph will bring dangerously cold wind chills (-20 to -10 F) Saturday night into Sunday, and Sunday could approach or set a record-low high in the area as a NEXT Weather Alert stays in effect.
