"Multiple Tornadoes Strike Wabaunsee County, Kansas"

Tornadoes touched down in rural areas of Wabaunsee, Shawnee, and Jackson counties in northeast Kansas late Wednesday, with no reported injuries. Trained spotters and sheriff's office personnel reported at least six tornadoes and hail up to baseball size. Structural damage was reported in Wabaunsee County and near Rossville, with sirens sounded in areas including Topeka to warn people of the storm. The tornado near Rossville was Shawnee County's first since 2019, and the National Weather Service is sending out teams to survey the damage.
