Ukraine launches mass drone barrage on Russia, Moscow hit in what officials call the largest attack

Ukraine launched more than 1,000 drones into Russia overnight, including hundreds toward Moscow, described by the city’s mayor as the largest attack on the capital; Moscow says it shot down about 450 of the drones and reported damage to the Moscow Oil Refinery and a residential building, with two dead and 20 wounded in the Moscow region. Kyiv says it used domestically produced Flamingo and Pelican missiles to hit oil and logistics facilities. In Ukraine, a Russian drone strike killed two children and their mother in Kyiv, with another child dying later. The U.S. approved a $2.68 billion air-defense sale to Ukraine as sanctions against Russia were expanded, while Russia said it shot down 1,110 Ukrainian drones nationwide.
