Elephant's Impressive Banana-Peeling Skills Amaze Researchers and Internet
TL;DR
Pang Pha, an elephant at Berlin Zoo, has become the subject of a scientific study due to her unusual ability to peel bananas with her trunk. Researchers were impressed by her speed and technique, which involves a "break and shake" method for perfectly ripe bananas. Pang Pha was handraised by a keeper who always fed her peeled bananas, which may have influenced her behavior. Another elephant, Mara at Brazil's Global Sanctuary, also peels bananas and hands back the leftover peel.
