Clashes and Violence Erupt at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem

Terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired rockets at several towns in southern Israel following clashes between police and Palestinians inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. The rocket fire came hours after clashes at the Temple Mount, which came amid heightened tensions at the flashpoint holy site during Ramadan and the start of Passover. The decision by police to enter the mosque was also condemned by Jordan, which controls the body that administers the Temple Mount, with Amman accusing Israeli forces of “storming” Al-Aqsa and assaulting worshippers.
