Escalating Clashes on Lebanon-Israel Border Displace Thousands

More than 19,000 people have been internally displaced in Lebanon since early October due to soaring tensions near the Israel-Lebanon border following the Israel-Hamas war. The movement of people is exacerbating an already deteriorating situation in Lebanon, which is facing an economic crisis and rising poverty. The International Organization for Migration expects the number of displaced individuals to increase as cross-border tensions continue.
