Israeli airstrikes cripple Aleppo airport and kill soldier.

An Israeli missile attack on Monday night targeted Aleppo International Airport and some sites in the vicinity of the Syrian city, killing one soldier, injuring seven others, including two civilians, and causing material damage. Syrian air defenses intercepted the missiles and shot down some of them. Israel has been carrying out attacks against what it describes as Iran-linked targets in Syria, where Tehran's influence has grown since it began supporting President Bashar al-Assad in the civil war that started in 2011.
