Israeli Airstrikes in Damascus Injure Syrian Soldier
A Syrian soldier was injured in alleged Israeli airstrikes targeting sites in the Damascus area, including near the Damascus International Airport and the city of al-Kiswah. The strikes come after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran and its affiliates of encouraging, directing, and financing recent terrorist attacks. These are the first reported Israeli airstrikes in Syria since early August, when four Syrian soldiers were killed near Damascus.
