Russia adopts 'scorched earth' tactics in Bakhmut, Ukraine claims

Ukrainian ground forces commander, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, has said that Russian troops have switched to "scorched earth" tactics in the eastern city of Bakhmut, destroying buildings and positions with air strikes and artillery. The defence of the city continues, with Russian forces bringing in special forces and airborne assault units to help their attack on the city.
