Russian General Killed in Ukraine Counteroffensive.

Major-General Sergei Goryachev, Chief of Staff of Russia’s 35th Army, was reportedly killed in a Ukrainian missile strike on the Zaporizhzhia front during Kyiv’s counteroffensive. Goryachev was described as one of Russia’s “most effective” commanders and had served in the Russian military for nearly 30 years. Military bloggers reported that Goryachev and several other high-ranking officers were killed by one of the Storm Shadow long-range missiles that have been supplied to Ukraine by its Western allies. This comes as Ukrainian forces are reporting advances near the cities of Bakhmut, Berdyansk, and Toretsk.
