Russian Volunteers and Mercenaries Suffer Heavy Losses in Ukraine Conflict

As many as 8,000 Russian volunteers and mercenaries fighting for Russia have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the war, according to iStories. The report is based on data from Russia's Federal Pension Fund, which shows that almost a quarter of a million people in Russia had received compensation after losing a family breadwinner. The true number of casualties and disabled persons is likely much higher than official figures suggest.
