Sudan's Deadly Fighting Sparks Humanitarian Crisis and Global Concerns.

Intense fighting between the Sudanese military and Rapid Support Forces has caused thousands to shelter in place with limited resources, resulting in at least 330 deaths and 3,200 injuries. One-third of health facilities in Sudan are out of service, and multiple aid organizations have reported being assaulted and targeted. The UN has called for a three-day ceasefire to allow citizens trapped in conflict zones to escape and seek medical treatment. The conflict has forced an estimated 10,000 to 20,000 refugees to flee to Chad, and has the potential to plunge millions more into hunger.
