Ukraine's Flood Crisis: Russian Aggression and Disease Outbreaks Loom
TL;DR
Russian snipers are firing on Ukrainian rescue boats evacuating civilians from flooded towns in eastern Ukraine after the Kakhovka Dam was destroyed last week. At least 150 people have been rescued from Russian-occupied areas by Ukrainian forces, while nearly 2,750 were evacuated from flooded regions controlled by Ukraine. The rescue efforts have been made treacherous due to Russian attacks, with some evacuees even being forced to show Russian passports if they wanted to leave the Russian-occupied flooded areas.
