Milan Aristocrat Under Probe in Sarajevo's 'Human Safari' Killings
A Milanese aristocrat is under investigation in a widening European probe into a so‑called “human safari” of weekend snipers who allegedly paid to shoot civilians during the Bosnian War’s siege of Sarajevo (1992–95). Investigators across Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland, and Belgium are pursuing suspects and witnesses as Eurojust coordination continues; the siege claimed more than 11,000 lives, with reports that some snipers paid extra to target women and children and celebrated after killings.
