Wagner Group suffers losses in battles for Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

The head of Russia's Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, admitted that the battle for Bakhmut has severely damaged both his own forces and the Ukrainian army. Bakhmut has been the target of a Russian offensive for months, resulting in intense fighting and destruction. Russian forces are still capturing ground in street-by-street fighting, but have failed to encircle the city and force the Ukrainians to withdraw. British military intelligence reported that the Ukrainians had successfully pushed the Russians back from one of the city's main supply routes.
