Convicted killer admits New Year’s Eve murder, telling police 'it's happened again'

Daniel Levy, 48, admitted murdering Abdul Kaleem Shaik with a neck stab at Shaik’s Vauxhall flat on New Year’s Eve, later telling officers 'it's happened again' as he walked to Bishopsgate Police Station on January 1. Levy, who has schizophrenia, has a history of violence including the 2000 manslaughter of his grandmother for which he received an indefinite hospital order; after periods in secure mental health care and various releases, he initially denied the murder but changed his plea as his Old Bailey trial approached, Shaik’s body found on a makeshift bed in the flat.
