Russian Journalist Staging Anti-War Protest Suspected Poisoned in France

French prosecutors have launched an investigation into the suspected poisoning of exiled Russian journalist Marina Ovsyannikova, who fled Russia last year after a high-profile anti-war protest on state TV. Ovsyannikova felt unwell after opening her Paris apartment door and discovering a powder-like substance. Reporters Without Borders confirmed the incident and stated that Ovsyannikova was under medical observation. Forensic police have been sent to examine her home to determine the nature of the substance. Ovsyannikova had previously expressed concerns for her safety and had been sentenced in absentia to 8.5 years in prison by a Moscow court for a separate protest.
