Controversy Surrounds Nobel's Reinvitation of Russia, Belarus, and Iran to Banquet

Ambassadors from Russia and Belarus have been invited to Stockholm's Nobel Prize banquet this year after being excluded last year due to the Ukraine invasion. The Nobel Foundation has also extended an invitation to the leader of the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats for the first time. The foundation aims to include ambassadors from all countries diplomatically represented in Sweden and Norway, even if they do not share the values of the Nobel Prize. The laureates for this year will be announced in October, and the award ceremonies are scheduled for December 10th.
