Moldova Takes Action: Russian Embassy Staff Expelled

Moldova will expel 45 Russian diplomats from the country, reducing the number of Russian envoys in the capital, Chișinău, due to "unfriendly actions" and attempts to destabilize the country. The decision comes after an investigation revealed an increasing number of satellite dishes and communication devices on top of the Russian embassy. The Russian foreign ministry called the move a "step toward the destruction of bilateral relations" and vowed to respond. Moldova has been facing political pressure from Moscow since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with concerns of a coup and attempts to weaken the government.
